Exploring Japan and discovering new places can be exciting but overwhelming, especially at first. Luckily, the community at Yokota Air Base is an amazing resource for recommendations to get any sort of traveler out and about finding things they will love! Together, we know a lot!!
Yokota Travel can be an amazing resource too, if YOU help us keep it up to date! So if you find yourself out enjoying a great hiking trail, store or cafe, please note the name and location so that we can share it with our readers! If you’re on Facebook or Instagram, you can use the hashtag #yokotatravel to mark your post for anyone following similar posts, and if you have more to say, or aren’t on social media, you can also email recommendations or feedback to Meagan, the travel editor for this site, at: firstname.lastname@example.org
What Do I Include in a Recommendation? We won’t expect you to know every detail! We just need enough so that others will be able to figure out how to get there and why they should go. Phone snapshots are great! Especially if you can include a menu, hidden tip (ex: where to park or what the entrance looks like!) or what types of travelers it’s great for (kids, newbies to Japan, seasoned explorers, etc)
Here are some questions to help you get started:
Where did you go?
What’s cool about it?
How did you get there? (pins through GoogleMaps are the most helpful)
What time of year would you recommend it?
Who would you recommend it for?
We can post your contributions anonymously or work with you if you’re interested in writing or sharing travel photos of your own!
Thank you for your help!!
